The Indian Performing Right Society Ltd. (IPRS) launches its own stage at Serendipity Festival from December 15-20, 2024
At the upcoming and much anticipated Serendipity Festival in Goa, The Indian Performing Right Society Ltd. (IPRS) is all set to launch the IPRS Stage. The festival is scheduled from December 15 to 22, 2024 across the state of Goa, however, this stage will be presented in state capital Panaji.
This vibrant platform promises to discover and promote emerging creators, regional artists, and hidden talents from across India, while celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage. The main initiative of the stage is to provide an opportunity for music lovers to immerse in unheard melodies and artists as well as exchange of thoughts about the industry. At large, IPRS aims to preserve Indian Heritage, empower local artists, and build a strong bridge between traditional and contemporary art forms.
The IPRS Stage at Serendipity Arts Festival 2024 will feature artists like Mythical Melodies, led by Dr. Ulka Mayur, which will explore the ancient origin of Indian music through evocative narratives and traditional instruments, followed by Project Folks-Wagon by Madhur Padwal will take the audience on a captivating journey through India’s folk traditions, featuring unique instruments and multilingual melodies. Lastly, Jaadoo Bastar by Daira will offer a harmonious mix of modern art-rock and traditional Bastar tunes, performed in Halbi, Bhatri, and Gondi. This list is spread over Dec16-Dec 20 in that order. Apart from the performances, the stage will also witness an enlightining panel discussion on “Navigating Intellectual Property Rights in the Music Industry.” on December 19th, 2024. The discussion will feature thought leaders from the industry, including Rakesh Nigam, CEO IPRS, Mayur Puri, lyricist, screenwriter, and IPRS Member, Atul Churamani, Managi g Director, Turnkey Music & Publishing, and Rafael Pereira, Executive Trustee of IMX.
