Sabyasachi designs lure slum kids too

If we thought Sabyasachi Mukherjee designs are only meant for rich and elite then we are wrong. Slum kids in Lucknow seem to be an aesthete. Under the guidance of city based Non-profit organization, Innovation for Change, the children recreated the Heritage Bridal Collection designed on the hues of Red color, symbolic to marriages in India, by the ace designer, using donated clothes. The original campaign that Sabayasachi posted on his social media handle with a caption “Red is not seasonal, its iconic” received thumping popularity. The campaign inspired the kids to recreate the whole look, which received applause. However, the biggest compliment for the enthusiastic children came from the designer himself, who commented "Thank You" with a heart emoticon and re-shared the video with a caption “The winner is…”

Acknowledging his appreciation, the kids further aced the whole communication by creating a mural of the designer with Rubik cubes.

The bridal season is in the offing and Sabayasachi Mukherjee is the dream designer for most brides. Keeping that mind, the designer has curated a special theme with Red as the main theme color. The campaign video has both male and female models twirling away in gorgeous red anarkalis, Bandhgalas, Lehengas draped in chic looks.

Known for his Indian choices of patterns, fabrics, and the one mainly responsible to bring other colors in the wedding milieu apart from red, has decided to go back to red this wedding season. The designer of the international repute has been a choice of many Bollywood celebrities for the wedding looks and remains an aspiration for many young brides across the country.
