Via Bombay’s Ashish L Sajani brings Second edition of Sindhi Food festival

Via Bombay, a multi-cuisine restaurant in Chembur, is running a month long Sindhi Food festival in November. The festival that started on 1st November will conclude on 30th November 2024. The menu of the festival is as Sindhi as it gets. From Selay Bread to Dal Pakwan and From Gach Rabadi to Dal Sandwich, it swings between the popular and not so known delicacies of Sindhi cuisine.

In total the menu boasts 19 dishes including vegetarian and Non-vegetarian, and also includes a live counter. The menu comprises Bheej ti Tikki, a lotus stem preparation, Arbi Tuk, Crisp Taro Roots Fried to Perfection, Seasoned With Turmeric, Red Chili Powder, and Fresh Coriander Leaves, Sai Bhaji with Bhugal Chawal, which is assorted greens with Nutty brown rice, among many other interesting dishes. The drinks menu has mocktails inspired by Sindhi flavours and includes varieties like Thadal and Sindhi Falooda. The Restaurant also has a colorful pinwheel counter from where you can take a sweet memory along with the tasty culinary memory.

This is the second edition of the festival ; the first one was held in March 2024, which received immense love. The owner of the restaurant, Ashish L Sajni as well as the executive chef Ajay Samtani, both are of Sindhi descent, making it a personal fare for them in an endeavor to promote the unique Sindhi cuisine.
