Chef Kunal Kapur brings Indian ‘Pincode’ in UAE capital
Well known Chef Kunal Kapur has inaugurated his chain of restaurant 'Pincode' under True Palate Pvt Ltd, a multi-specialty hospitality company. Pincode, which already active in Dubai, has also been launched at the Galleria Mall, AL Marayah Island, in the capital city of Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
The Chef has expanded his culinary delights for Abu Dhabi by offering Indian menu designed for the ‘Cosmopolitan Pulse’ of the city.
As per the Chef, “ I’m absolutely thrilled to be expanding the Pincode family to the stunning city of Abu Dhabi. The energy and diversity of this city are infectious, and I can’t wait to share our passion for Indian cuisine with the people here."
Pincode started its journey in January 2023 and is slowly expanding to all marquee areas globally. The menu is inspired by culinary specialties of each Indian pin code. The menu covers signature dishes of India like Butter Chicken to Shami Kebabs in the north to Kalpetta’s coastal chicken curry to Bunny Bhaji, Dhokla from the West. The menu in UAE although features a global twist, standing true to its tagline, “Inspired by Indian Kitchen”, to Indian dishes. For example, it has Avocado Jhal Muri(A Bengali variant of Bhel Puri) to Dates & Olive Malai Paneer Tikka.
The idea behind the name Pincode is closely associated with his Grandmother, who would send handwritten letters to her relatives and immaculately mentioning the pincodes to ensure correct delivery.
The restaurant is in Civil Line & Saket in New Delhi, and Dubai Hills in Dubai. The Chef had done a ‘Plate pop-up’ in Mumbai too.
