Sabyasachi showcases fine jewelry at Printemps, Doha
The dream designer for most brides-celebrities or not, is showcasing his jewelry at the International Luxury brand Printemps in Doha. Grabbing the attention of Non resident Indians and the locals, the designer is presenting the exhibition from December 10-December 14th 2024.
The brand’s website elaborates about the collaboration explaining the confluence of ‘the unique jewellery from the Bengal Royal Collection pay homage to European techniques, Mughal motifs and the Bengali craft filigree found only in Calcutta’. It also explains that the collection is the designer's ode to an era of iconic thought, craftsmanship and sartorial brilliance. The range also covers the eras of the Georgian age to the Belle Époque.
It further states, “The master craftsman of Calcutta journey through the gilded magnificence of Constantinople to find New York’s modern, theatrical power. Experience a new silk route - the voyage of cultural and artistic savoir faire. The Bengal Byzantine Broadway Collection creates a contemporary dialogue between legacy and perspective”.
The collection comprises Moulin Rouge necklace to Necklace crafted in 18k gold with 47.2 carats of emerald, tourmalines, iolite, spinel, old mine cut and brilliant cut EF VVS VS diamonds and earrings crafted in 18k gold with 12 carats of emeralds and brilliant cut EF VVS VS diamonds.
In March earlier this year, the celebrated designer collaborated with Bergdorf Goodman in the USA and the collaboration is slated to run till February 25, 2025.
The designer has been taking Indian heritage of jewelry to global level, making it accessible to Indians abroad as well as High Net Worth Individuals of all ethnicities. Coming year will also see the brand complete 25 grand and long years of reimagining Indian Textiles, and jewelry in the most glamorous ways.
The year has already witnessed Sabyasachi’s range make enough noise with Scarlett Johnson to Kareena Kapoor Khan wearing his range at red carpets. Cant wait to see what’s next for the brand in the coming years!
